Marine fender pads (commonly referred to as fender facing panels or fender front panels) are key components installed on the outer surface of ship fenders (such as rubber fenders, polyurethane fenders, etc.). Their main functions are as follows:

Provide a low-friction sliding surface: Made of materials such as ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), they have an extremely low coefficient of friction, facilitating the smooth sliding of ships along docks, hulls, or other structures during berthing or mooring, reducing impact forces and wear.

Enhance wear resistance and impact resistance: Effectively absorb collision energy when the ship contacts the dock, protecting the internal fender structure and extending service life.

Corrosion resistance and UV resistance: Especially suitable for marine environments with high salt, high humidity, and strong ultraviolet exposure; they are not easily aged, deformed, or degraded, ensuring long-term reliability.

Protect ship hull and dock structures: Serve as a buffer layer to prevent damage to the hull or dock surface caused by hard contact.

These pads are commonly used in marine fender systems and are widely applied in ports, docks, floating platforms, and other scenarios. They are mostly made of UHMWPE and feature self-lubrication, chemical corrosion resistance, and low water absorption.
