Basic Characteristics Of High-density Polyethylene

Physical and structural properties
Appearance: The original state is white powder or granular product, the thin section is translucent, opaque white wax, non-toxic, odorless, odorless.

Density : 0.941~0.960 g/cm³ (some data are extended to 0.940~0.976 g/cm³).

Crystallinity: 80%~90%, the molecular chain is linear structure, the branch chains are very few, and the arrangement is regular.

Melting point: 125~135°C (some data say 142°C);

The operating temperature can reach 100°C.

Softening point : 125~135°C .
