High-Density Polyethylene Chemical and Environmental Stability

Excellent chemical stability: Insoluble in any organic solvent at room temperature, resistant to acids, bases, and most salts.

Low permeability to water vapor and air, extremely low water absorption, suitable for food packaging and containers.

Poor aging resistance: Easily affected by thermal oxidation and UV light, requires the addition of antioxidants and UV absorbers for improvement.

Environmental stress cracking resistance is not as good as LDPE.
